State Registered Paramedics
We are able to provide front-line ambulances Paramedic crewed, fully equipped to County standards, this includes drugs and monitors as well as all the other medical equipment that is expected to provide this high level of medical care.
Crusader is an established and an approved provider to NHS hospital trusts and ambulance service within the southwest. It supplies Paramedic crewed ambulances for urgent and emergency patient transfers, including cardiovascular, neuro, paediatric and those that may need Paramedic skills en route.
The term 'Paramedic' has now become a protected and restricted title, and all Paramedics have to be state registered with the Health Professionals Council (HPC). This is the governing body that sets standards of training and conduct. It also has the power to investigate any complaints and infringements and can, if needed, prosecute and / or remove from the register those that have been proven to have acted in a way that brings the profession into disrepute. Paramedics have welcomed the close monitoring of the HPC, as it ensures our already high standards as health care professionals are kept to optimum.
Checking Paramedic Status
A Paramedics status may be checked from their ID card and verified by login on to the HPC website.You may enter either the PA number or name on the card. If you are still in any doubt a phone call can be made during working hours 0845 3004 472
