Medical Cover for All Events

Crusader provides top of the range medical cover and risk assessment services for all events, both large and small. For example - any skill level from First Aiders, Technicians, State Registered Paramedics, Nurses (all grades,) Doctors and Specialists. With these highly skilled medical personnel, you can be assured that we can confidently deal with all Patients requiring initial assessment, medical treatment, and subsequence referral to receiving hospitals, if applicable.

Depending on the expected crowd attendance and type of event we are able to provide the following.

  • Cover for all events both out-door, in-door, including corporate, television and film
  • Event risk assessment (as laid down in the Health & Safety Guide)
  • Planning, help and advice service
  • Any duration of event covered - day - days - weeks, dependant on resource requirements
  • From 1-10 ambulances, also including rapid response mpv’s and 4+4 vehicles
  • Medics on mountain bikes. In special circumstances were access, type of event, and for deployment amongst crowds
  • A variety of medical skill levels
  • Mobile response teams
  • TTT - triage, treatment and transport
  • Ability to evacuate casualties to a medical facility

Risk Assessment

If required we are able to carry out a risk assessment for your event as laid down in the Event Safety Guide issued by the Health & Safety Executive. The guide sets out the medical resources and personnel needed to be deployed, this includes all aspects of cover, the crowd and participants, arrival and departure of employees and event workers throughout the duration of the event.

This ensures that our medical management team can provide the appropriate control infrastructure and the correct level of medical personnel and emergency ambulances. These facilities are then effectively deployed throughout the site and can respond to all emergencies and sudden illnesses as and when required. Short Notice Event Cover

We are contacted on occasions to provide medical cover at very short notice, this is usually requested when the medical provider who has already been contracted lets you down. We understand that this can be a disaster when so much time has gone into organising, advertising and spending funds. Please contact us, we could be able to help, and save the day.

Ocean Medic

In the past we have covered powerboat racing in and around Plymouth Sound by fast rib provided by the sponsor. This was fully equipped with all medical equipment by Crusader and stationed in and around the course to respond to any incident should the need arise.

We now have ability to arrange for a MCA registered 8m high-speed rib coxed and manned by qualified former military divers all IMCA qualified diver medic technicians, to cover a range of water events, this can be crewed by extra divers and medical personnel according to your needs.
